4 times, and he still annoys me.

I can’t help it. I work from 3 in the afternoon to midnight and there isn’t a whole lot of good TV on when I get home. Usually I leave my TV on channel 39 and watch CSI, House, Numbers and whatever Showcase have decided to throw at me. Not this night though.

My TV found it’s way onto channel 24. Over here in Surrey ch 24 is Much Music. Canada’s solution to MTV. Tonight they were rebroadcasting a roundĀ  table, discussion on the sexuality in today’s music videos. On the “celeb” panel was Chaos. An alternative rapper who’s more preacherĀ  … Continue Reading

Season 3 of Heroes sucks…

I just watched the 4th ep. Sure, it was funny as some points, but overall it has become unbelievable. I can’t stand the Nikki (who isn’t really Nikki…sure..) What? She’s about 33 years old, and she’s only discovered her ability to keep her beverages cold, just now??

The direction of the two japanese characters has some potential, but it’s taking too long. Also, am I to believe the super, fast girl falls in love with the chubby cop & they get marred? They are going to have to explain that one. I just don’t see it. He must have worked that … Continue Reading

XP running in Linux using VirtualBox

This is a video cap of my desktop as of July 01, 2008. I made it to display some of the possibilities of virtualizing other operating systems within Linux, using VirtualBox. The Compiz Desktop manager running ontop of the Gnome desktop manager allows you to have multiple OS’s in full screen at the same time.

Why do this? As much as I love the Linux OS, the fact of the matter is it’s a MS Windows world. I can get 99% of my daily tasks done … Continue Reading

Losing the battle of bluetooth

Something about that little blue icon is sexy. It’s definetly much sexier than the USB logo. With that said I’ll have to stick to good ol’ USB for now when doing anything with my smartphone. I can transfer files and contacts via Bluetooth using bluesoleil software, but it leaves alot of to be desired. I haven’t found a way to select the path on either the phone or the PC. So far, all of my files end up either in the puny MyDocuments folder on my cell, or lost in the ether between those two devices. They probably end up … Continue Reading

The Intro

My name is ****** ******. (I’m sure if you poked around the main site, you’d quickly figure out my name is not a line of asterisk’s.) Due to security reasons I can’t really divulge what I do for a living, especially on the internet, for fear of a caped compliance officer plunging from a tree top or emerging from a faint mist hovering in my driveway. Rest assured, it’s nothing glamorous. What I can tell you about myself is that I’m a certified geek and proud of it.

Although this is a public blog, it’s main use will be to purge … Continue Reading
